Zip Code Wilmington

Epic CEO Jim Stewart cofounded the nationally -recognized non-profit coding school Zip Code Wilmington in 2015 to help address a critical shortage of qualified software development professionals. Through partnerships with area businesses, Zip Code provides subsidized, low-cost training in job-ready tech skills and job placement assistance, allowing graduates to enter the workforce quickly. Stewart, the school’s founding Board Chair, previously served as a Trustee.

CCSA Foundation

The Chester Fund Foundation

Ben Brake, President of Epic Research, serves as the Chair of The Chester Fund Foundation in support of The Chester Fund for Education and the Arts. The Fund provides financial support to the Chester Charter Scholars Academy, benefitting underserved students in the city of Chester, PA.

Rodel

Rodel partners with Delaware residents and educational innovators to transform Delaware’s public education system. Jim Stewart currently serves as Trustee and Treasurer.

Delaware State University

Delaware State University

Consistently ranked as a “top 5” HBCU by U.S. News and World Report, Delaware State University has been a respected institution of higher learning since 1891. Jim Stewart is a former Trustee.

East Side Charter School

East Side Charter School provides K-8 education to one of the most high-needs communities in Delaware.

College Settlement of Philadephia

College Settlement provides camp experiences for young people in the greater Philadelphia area, without regard to economic circumstances. Programs provide a safe, affordable, and nurturing place to enjoy the outdoors while campers learn about themselves, others, and the environment. Heather Farber, Managing Director of Marketing, serves as President of the Board of Trustees.

Fighting Homelessness

Family Promise of New Castle County

Family Promise seeks to end and prevent homelessness in New Castle County, DE. In addition to operating shelter services, this organization helps at-risk individuals and families tap into resources to avoid homelessness and provides additional services to ensure their continued success after leaving the program.

Revitalizing Wilmington

Reach Riverside

REACH Riverside’s goal is to foster holistic community redevelopment in the Riverside neighborhood in historic Northeast Wilmington. The organization focuses on creating sustainable housing, educational opportunities, and health and wellness programs for residents of the community. Jim Stewart serves as the Finance Committee Chairman.

It’s Time Wilmington

Wilmington, DE is undergoing exciting changes, with a robust job market, new and revitalized housing, exciting entertainment options, and more. It’s Time Wilmington seeks to promote the city to people and organizations that can help boost economic development in the area. Jim Stewart, a passionate supporter of downtown Wilmington, serves as Chair.

Brandywine Conservancy

Brandywine Conservancy protects and conserves the land, water, natural, and cultural resources of the Brandywine-Christina watershed. Jim Stewart is a former Trustee.
